Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s campaign to reclaim the affections of heartland voters is being threatened by growing support in Labor ranks for same-sex marriage.
Labor policy opposing gay marriage is expected to be overturned during this year’s national conference in December, with unanimous support from the Left and about half the Right faction.
