Meet the Australians from vastly different walks of life who have led the popular poll on OurSay to hangout with Prime Minister Julia Gillard and put their questions to her directly.
Shane Bazzi, 25, is a journalism masters student and former high school English and history teacher from Sydney. He’s been involved in online campaigns to amend Australia’s federal marriage laws, which exclude gay couples from marrying. As a young gay man, the issue is personal. He wants a chance to talk directly to the Prime Minister about her opposition to changing the law.
