SYDNEY City Council wants gay marriage legalised, saying current laws are archaic and more than 150 years old.
Lord Mayor Clover Moore yesterday moved a motion calling on the federal parliament to amend the Marriage Act. She called for Australia to recognise all same-sex marriages solemnised overseas.
