Professor Kerryn Phelps is the latest name to be added to the New Mardi Gras Queer Thinking line-up.

Phelps will join GLBTQ and human rights activists Peter Tatchell on stage as he speaks his mind about the campaign for equal marriage rights.

Tatchell is a Melbourne-born, London-based GLBTQ human rights activist who is spearheading the British campaign for equal marriage.

His address will be introduced with a speech by Phelps and Australian Marriage Equality national convenor Alex Greenwich .

“No less important than the threat to marriage equality from the Religious Right, is the threat from Canberra power-brokers selling us down the river with a form of second class relationship recognition like civil unions,” Greenwich said.
