Queer Thinking with Peter Tatchell – 19th of February, 8pm at the Seymour Centre.

Topic: “Civil unions are not equality. They are sexual apartheid.”

Join one of the world’s most controversial and influential LGBTI and human rights activists, Peter Tatchell, as he speaks his mind about the campaign for equal marriage rights in this very special Mardi Gras event. Peter Tatchell is a veteran Melbourne-born, London-based LGBTI human rights activist who is spearheading the British campaign for same-sex marriage. Mardi Gras Parade Entry – ‘Australian Marriage Equality Now’ aka the A.M.E.N. Float

100 Marriage Equality Supporters will join Professer Kerryn Phelps, Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, Geoff Field and Geoff Thomas in a float that will draw attention to the fight for marriage equality.

Australian Marriage Equality will also have a stand at fair day and in the lead up to Mardi Gras we will be running more advocacy eduation sessions.
