Luxurious Sydney Harbour cruise to raise money for Australian Marriage Equality.
Supporters of marriage equality are being urged to help raise much needed funds for what could be the final stage of the campaign for same sex marriage by getting on board a deluxe Sydney Harbour cruise.
The Sea Of Love harbour cruise will benefit Australian Marriage Equality, the leading advocacy organisation for marriage equality in Australia.
Guests will spend four (4) hours cruising beautiful Sydney Harbour on the spectacular Starship Sydney, the city’s premier luxury function vessel with 3600 views from 3 stunning levels. They’ll enjoy delicious canapés and ice cream desserts and be entertained by great DJs courtesy of brand new digital radio broadcaster OX Gold. Full bar service will be operating and drinks will be available for purchase.
The operators of Starship Sydney have generously donated the fully staffed and serviced vessel for the event, which means all proceeds go to Australian Marriage Equality’s campaign efforts.
Australian Marriage Equality National Director Rodney Croome says the event will provide guests with a unique opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the fight for marriage equality while having a great afternoon on the harbour with family, friends or colleagues.
“We’re closer than we’ve ever been to achieving marriage equality in Australia,” Mr Croome says. “In fact we’ve reached a tipping point with 72% of Australians now supporting same sex marriage, and that’s according to recent research done by the Coalition’s own pollsters Crosby/Textor. In addition to this, all the signs point to a conscience vote on marriage equality in the Federal Parliament sometime in the coming months.
“All we need to do to achieve our goal is to persuade 25 Coalition MPs to vote yes. We’re on track to achieve this, but we need to raise much needed funds to keep the momentum going, “Australian Marriage Equality is a volunteer-based organisation that relies solely on the financial support of everyday Australians who believe in making Australia a place where all love is equal.
