Australian Marriage Equality has assembled a panel of key influencers to discuss the future of marriage equality this Wednesday in Sydney. The panel will include:

Paul Howes, National Secretary, The Australian Workers’ Union
Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, Greens Senator for South Australia
Alex Greenwich MP, Independent Member for Sydney, Chair Australian Marriage Equality
Clr Christine Forster, Sydney City Liberals
Ivan Hinton, Australian Marriage Equality

Ivan Hinton, the deputy National Director of Australian Marriage Equality said:

“With the federal political landscape now changed, marriage equality imminent in the ACT, and a number of states progressing with reform, our forum will bring together all sides of politics, levels of government, and marriage equality campaigners to discuss the way forward for marriage equality at a federal, state, and territory level.”

“This is a very exciting time for marriage equality and we must work respectfully and productively with all sides of politics to achieve reform”.

The event will be hosted and MC’ed by Peter Urmson who has joined Australian Marriage Equality in a strategic political engagement role.
