CANBERRA, Sept 18 AAP – Legalising same sex marriage won’t curtail anyone else’s rights and won’t result in a mass outbreak of homosexuality, Labor Senator John Faulkner says.

Resuming the Senate debate on the Labor and Greens bill to legalise same-sex unions, Senator Faulkner said this wasn’t about the virtue and value of marriage as an institution, nor about its role in society or the prominence of religion.
