Veteran US marriage equality advocate, Evan Wolfson, will speak in Sydney next week.

Mr Wolfson is the Director of New York-based, Freedom to Marry, author of Why Marriage Matters and has been named by Time Magazine as one of the “100 most influential people in the world”.

Australian Marriage Equality campaign director, Rodney Croome, said Evan Wolfson will talk about what Australia can learn from the global marriage equality movement and what we can teach.

“We’re very excited Evan is able to share his knowledge and insight while he is in Australia”, Mr Croome said.

“I urge everyone with an interest in marriage equality to come and hear Evan talk about where Australia fits into the global marriage equality movement.”

Mr Wolfson was recently in New Zealand where he said he is confident that country will legalise same-sex marriage soon.
