The ACT Government will bring forward debate of its legislation to improve options for same-sex couples next month.
The Government introduced a bill in December, modelled on its original civil union laws which were overturned in 2006 by the former Howard government amid concerns the unions mimicked marriage.
The bill was put on hold because of moves within the federal Parliament to legalise same-sex marriage, but that has since stalled.
