Federal MPs may have to wait until the end of the year before voting on same-sex marriage legislation due to a lack of support for the move.
Australian Greens MP Adam Bandt says he will not put his private legislation to the vote until there is more support for it.
His decision follows the tabling of a report on Monday by a parliamentary committee looking at Mr Bandt’s bill and another by Labor MP Stephen Jones.
