It’s estimated there are currently around 90,000 medical practitioners working in Australia today.

Like any similarly-sized group of people, Australian doctors will have a wide range of views about politics and social issues.

With that in mind, we shouldn’t be surprised when a tiny fraction – 150 doctors – come together to form a group advocating a position on something. In this case, it’s Doctors for the Family, which are attempting to advance the cause of ‘traditional’ family values. (I find it’s helpful to remind myself that 89,850 medical practitioners haven’t signed up at this point in time).
