LEADING marriage equality advocate Nathan Thomas, of Cremorne, grilled Opposition Leader Tony Abbott on the question of same-sex marriage at last week’s community forum in Balgowlah.
Mr Thomas, a proud gay man who has previously spoken privately with Mr Abbott on the topic, attacked the Liberal Party for lacking a social conscience.
He accused Mr Abbott of hypocrisy, pointing out Mr Abbott’s sister, Christine Forster, had recently announced she was gay.
