Over 125,000 Australians have supported marriage equality in a survey conducted by the House of Representatives’ Social Policy and Legal Affairs committee.
Final results are expected to be published on Monday, but today’s count suggests 58.1% of the218,048 respondants have expressed support for bills which would amend the Marriage Act to allow same-sex couples to legally wed.
