A CATHOLIC Church crusade against gay marriage is “heartless” and shows it is completely out of touch with those it leads, advocates say.
Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne Denis Hart and five other bishops will send 80,000 letters to parishioners this weekend asking them to let their opposition be known.
It says the church cannot ignore its responsibility “to speak the truth in love” and “we all have a responsibility to follow that design” of sexuality given to humans by God.
