Australian Marriage Equality is calling on the small businesses who supply the wedding industry to make supportive submissions to the current senate inquiry into marriage equality.

A recent study by respected US Economist Professor Lee Badgett found that small businesses would benefit to the tune of $160 Million over three years when marriage equality becomes law. (full report here)

Australian Marriage Equality National Convener:

“All businesses who supply the wedding industry have a lot to gain by supporting marriage equality”

“Those businesses that contribute to achieving marriage equality will be the first to be rewarded when this reform happens”.

Australian Marriage Equality has written to over 500 wedding related businesses including florists, cake-makers, celebrants wedding planners, and caterers calling on them to make submissions to the inquiry.

Mr Greenwich has also welcomed supportive submissions made to the inquiry made by Former NSW Premier Kristina Keneally, The Hon Justice Michael Kirby, and Film Director and Screenwriter Stephan Elliot.
