The Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) has withdrawn its support for Bob Katter’s Australian Party due to its recent homophobic television advertisements and threats to repeal the current civil unions legislation.
QCU president John Battams said individual KAP candidates were yesterday given an opportunity to reject the party’s policy to repeal same-sex unions.
