DESPITE supporting calls from fellow Federal Coalition MP Malcolm Turnbull for a conscience vote on same-sex marriage, Member for Gippsland Darren Chester confirmed he would vote against changes to the Marriage Act.
Speaking to The Express last week, Mr Chester said he stood by the sentiments of his speech to Parliament in August when he supported the recognition of legal rights within same-sex relationships but did not support changes to the Marriage Act.
