Ballarat MP Catherine King has told Federal Parliament a personal meeting with a same-sex couple has made her question her view of gay marriage.
Ms King addressed Parliament in response to a Greens’ motion that asked MPs to discuss the issue with their constituents.
During her speech, Ms King says she has publicly supported the current definition of marriage in the past.
However, she says a meeting with a same-sex couple has fundamentally challenged her views.
