Gay marriage should complement, not threaten heterosexual marriage, writes Peter Goers.

OCCASIONALLY I wake screaming in the middle of long, lonely nights with worry and outrage but by the cool light of morning I’m more rationally maintaining the rage.

The whole gay marriage issue is boring us to sobs and is an outrage made eternally worse by ignorant zealots with their Bibles of hate and selective interpretation. God is love and God forgives and embraces all except for poofs and dykes seeking legal sanction for their loving relationships. They are evil.

Last week there were two rallies at Parliament House in Canberra – one outside attacking the “witch” Julia Gillard: a) because she is a woman and b) because she is apparently the only politician to reconsider a promise – core or non-core.
