AN openly gay Mount Isa resident has launched a Facebook page campaign asking people to support equal love, with the hope of changing the Federal Member for Kennedy’s mind on same sex marriage.
James Newburrie created the site, www.facebook.com/equallovecampaign, after Bob Katter said he would vote against a bill to allow same sex marriages and laughed at the idea of homosexuals marrying last week upon receiving a list of 32,000 signatures against gay marriage from Family Voice Australia.
Late yesterday afternoon the site already had more than 396 people who ‘liked’ it.
