It’s Friday night, Gay Pride down 5th Avenue is two days away, and the state legislature has approved same-sex marriage with one denying Democrat and four renegade Republicans who have been promised funding to counterbalance the Christian fundamentalist backlash that has already been threatened against their re-election.
