A recent peaceful rally in Adelaide promoting gay marriage was interrupted by a vocal group called the Street Church who decried that homosexuality is a sin.
So, the ABC Adelaide Evenings program asked, is it time to move forward in the 21st century and make marriage between “a man and a man” or “a woman and a woman” legal?
Or is gay marriage an oxymoron as a marriage is simply between a man and a woman?
While we weren’t able to speak to anyone from the Street Chruch, Peter did invite Dr David and Roslyn Phillips of Family Voice Australia, as well as two Uniting Church Ministers Reverend Sue Wickham and Leanne Jenski, who are in a long-term relationship together, to debate the issue.
