This April, TagYourCause.com throws the spotlight on Marriage Equality in Australia with ‘Equal Love Equal Laws’ luggage tags being the latest of the website’s monthly, limited-edition tags sold in support of a designated not-for-profit organisation. This month the organisation to benefit from the sale of tags is Australian Marriage Equality, and to highlight the importance of AME’s work Tag Your Cause will donate 100% of all profits from Tag sales.

AME’s achievements include gaining support for marriage equality from human rights organisations, unions and businesses; and increasing support for law reform among legislators as well as obtaining recognition of same-sex marriages by government agencies like the Bureau of Statistics;.

Founder of TagYourCause, Mathew Beeche, says AME will receive 100% of profits because the organisation represents a movement at the forefront of a great moment in Australia’s social history. “TagYourCause is proud to not only support but also step up the campaign alongside Australian Marriage Equality, an organisation funded only by contributions from supporters, and to be raising awareness while creating another avenue for Australians to visibly show their support. Recently we’ve seen conservative groups mount viral campaigns and present petitions to parliament in an effort to discredit the cause of marriage equality and organisations like AME. We know it’s not just an issue for the gay community but an issue for Australians everywhere.”

Alex Greenwich, spokesperson for AME, says, “Marriage equality is one of the most important social justice issues facing Australia today. It is about legal equality for all Australians, removing barriers to the full acceptance of gay and lesbian couples and their children in their families and communities, eliminating one of the last forms of entrenched discrimination against gay Australians, and providing faith communities that celebrate same-sex unions with religious freedom.”

“Australian Marriage Equality is involved in what is fast becoming the biggest gay and lesbian human rights campaign in Australian history with lobbying, advocacy and community education at a national state and local level. We are proud to be associated with businesses that support full legal equality for same-sex couples. ”

Australian Marriage Equality luggage tags are now available at www.tagyourcause.com until the end of April. Tags cost $10.00 including postage, with 100% of all profits going to AME.

Each month, Tag Your Cause works with a different not-for-profit group to create a dedicated and specially designed luggage tag. The tags go on sale online the following month, with the nominated group receiving 50% of all profits. TagYourCause.com carries all costs and financial risk on behalf of each organisation.
