As we near the celebrations for Valentine’s day next Monday Sydney’s GLBT community are still questioning when their views on same sex marriage will be heard.

Last year the Upper House passed a motion by Greens MP Adam Bandt to gauge community support on the issue by the slimmest of margins at 73 to 72.

While many in the community at the time rejoiced, the consultation has left others cold.

Myke Vescio is a healthcare worker who lives with his partner Dan Cakeboy, he said he hasn’t seen any material asking for his views on the issue.

“I don’t remember seeing anything like that at all,” he said.

“It’s an important issue to me so I would remember seeing it.
