Parents of homosexual children have called on the government to “bite the bullet” and change its marriage law to stop “red-necks” from abusing and discriminating against their children.

This follows the calls by the Greens for the State Government to legalise same-sex marriages and keep up with changes in Australia’s population.

The Northern District Times has been inundated with emails and letters from supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage, with some calling for gays and their supporters to be deported to countries such as Afghanistan.
