More SA and Tasmanian election candidates support marriage equality than ever before according to the results of a candidate survey released today by Australian Marriage Equality (AME) on its vote4love election website.

AME national director, Rodney Croome, said,

“More Liberal, Labor and National candidates support marriage equality than ever before, showing there is strong momentum for the reform.”

“This bodes well for South Australia and Tasmania taking the lead on marriage equality should the federal parliament again fails to pass it.”

The views of South Australian and Tasmanian election candidates surveyed by AME can be found at the marriage equality election website, vote4love.org

All Green candidates support marriage equality. The Palmer United Party has a conscience vote on the issue.

South Australians and Tasmanians go to the polls this Saturday, March 15th.
