Most South Australians — including the two contestants for the position of Premier — think gay marriage should be legal.

Of the more than 3200 responses to a Future SA question on whether gay marriage should be legal in SA, almost six in 10 said it should, while 41.6 per cent said it shouldn’t.

Premier Jay Weatherill and Opposition Leader Steven Marshall are both in favour of the idea of gay marriage, although they differ sharply on the details.
