Australian Marriage Equality has a new look as the nation heads towards an election where marriage equality will be a central issue.
The organisation today launched its new logo – two hands forming a heart around an equals sign – as well as a new website that is compatible with smart phones and tablets.
AME national director, Rodney Croome, said,
“Our new logo represents love, equality, family and human dignity which we believe are core values in the movement for marriage equality.”
“It’s also important that we now have a logo that can be replicated by anyone, anywhere, anytime.”
“The new logo comes with a new website that is about content not structure and which is optimised for mobile devices.”
“We have seen a significant increase in the amount of traffic coming to our website from tablets and smartphones and our new website responds to this demand by improving mobile device access.”
“As the nation heads towards an election it is important that are that we can communicate as clearly as possible with our supporters and our new logo and website are part of enhancing the delivery of our message.”
To promote its new logo and website, today AME launched a new campaign “Dear Politicians” where supporters of marriage equality can upload photos or videos that urge Australia’s national leaders to act on reform.
Anyone can be involved by taking a photo or video of themselves making the heart shape with their hands and uploading it on our “Dear Politicians” website with their own unique message to the politicians of Australia.
There will be prizes generously donated by Lush for the twenty five most creative entries.
