This week we received a $10,000 donation from a generous donor – but it comes with a condition: we have to raise another $10,000 to match it. Our anonymous donor, who approached us from our Equality Dinner in Sydney, is basically going to double your donation.

With Labor and the Coalition recently preventing a fresh marriage equality vote and the Coalition putting off any consideration of a conscience vote until after the election – we need to be ready for what is going to be a grueling couple of months for marriage equality in Australia. Just to letterbox one electorate costs us around $3,500. We need even more if you want us to promote marriage equality with print, TV adverts, and community events.
Thanks to your support – financial and otherwise – we’ve encouraged politicians from all sides to evolve on marriage equality. But this election will be our toughest battle yet. The cashed up and very influential Australian Christian Lobby will be hitting the airwaves, canvassing the politicians – it was only just recently that they were accusing us of creating a new stolen generation!
