VISITING US comic Margaret Cho has shelled out some curious advice to Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
Making a political statement on marriage equality, the bisexual comedienne took to Twitter to say Gillard needs to establish herself a legacy before the September election.
Cho wrote: “@JuliaGillard if you think you’re really going to lose PM then go out in a blaze of glory #marriageequalityforaustralianotnowbutyesterday”
The Tweet follows the recent legalisation of gay marriage in both New Zealand and France.
Cho is a longtime equal rights campaigner and frequently uses lesbian jokes in her stand-up routines.
She is touring Australia with her current show Mother and will perform at the Enmore Theatre on Friday night.
