New Zealand has introduced gay marriage. New Zealand! How stupid does that make Australia look?
We think we are smart, sophisticated and sensible, but New Zealand has shown they are smarter and more sensible by allowing gay marriage.
This is just proof our political parties don’t believe in anything. I think Tony Abbott is wrong on gay marriage; It should be legal, but at least he is consistent.
How Julia Gillard is against it is completely beyond me. Well, actually I know why. She probably believes in gay marriage – I’d be amazed if she doesn’t. But she is putting politics ahead of principles
So, New Zealand, it is now your turn to laugh at us.
