Barack Obama just got four more years as US President, and he didn’t need to say it, but he did.

”It doesn’t matter whether you’re black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, abled, disabled, gay or straight. You can make it here in America if you’re willing to try.”

That’s easy to say when you’ve clinched power. But in case you missed Obama’s evolution in his thinking on the issue of the great civil rights question of 2012, same-sex marriage, let me remind you what he said to a US television interviewer in May.
