It should come as welcome news to all fair-minded people that Prime Minister Julia Gillard has decided to withdraw from participating at next month’s Australian Christian Lobby conference.
She did so following disgraceful remarks by organisation head Jim Wallace, who suggested the gay lifestyle was a bigger health risk than smoking. Why? Because of the high rates of suicide and drug-taking within the gay community.
