Now Australian thespians are virtually queuing to show their support for same-sex marriage. Shane JacobsonRachel GriffithsMagda SzubanskiGeorgie ParkerLisa McCune and Daniel MacPherson are among more than 20 actors who have enlisted to perform stage readings this week of 8, a new play on gay rights, to coincide with the release of findings of a Senate inquiry into same-sex marriage in Australia.

The play, by Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black, arrives after reaching water-cooler levels of discussion in Los Angeles, where Clooney and Pitt read roles, and New York.
