THEY grappled with polygamy, religion and the privatisation of marriage – but in the end, the New South Wales Upper House yesterday voted to support gay marriage.
Premier Barry O’Farrell allowed Upper House MPs a conscience vote on the motion, put forward by the Greens MP Cate Faehrmann.
