NOBODY has dared make the comparison with buses but, after a long wait, supporters of same-sex marriage have seen three bills breaking down the barriers to marriage equality come along all at once.

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young reintroduced legislation from 2010 last week. Her House of Representatives colleague Adam Bandt moved a bill yesterday, in conjunction with Tasmanian independent Andrew Wilkie. Labor backbencher Stephen Jones introduced his much-mooted measures at the same time.
