Writer Erin Kikkert from Townsville, a city with strong Christian conservative roots, says she feels it’s time she comes “out of the closet” so to speak. Erin Kikkert is an evangelical Christian, a wife and mother of four tiny tots all under five, with a Christian pedigree as long as your arm, with Baptist minister as a father and a grand father (a Queensland Baptist State Superintendent).
Erin Kikkert states: “I realise that my views and ideals may not be popular with other Christians and I don’t want to give the wrong view or lead anyone astray, but I also don’t want to isolate myself from my Christian community. However, I don’t have a problem with gay marriage.”
