The Union for Progressive Judaism has congratulated the Australian Labor Party for adopting marriage equality as party policy.
Executive Director Steve Denenberg said in a statement, “Judaism teaches that all human beings are created betzelem Elohim (“in the image of God”) (Genesis1:27) and are therefore entitled to full dignity and equality.
