SYDNEY: In a little over an hour, Sydney’s Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, will introduce a motion during a mayoral minute at tonight’s Council meeting that calls upon the Australian Parliament to amend the Marriage Act to introduce marriage equality.
The motion, which is likely to be passed, also calls on the City of Sydney to officially support the Equal Love rally to take place on December 3 during the important Labor National Conference at Darling Harbour where it is likely there will be a push to include same-sex marriage rights as part of party policy.
