“Mr Ripper joins Labor leaders in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT who all support equality”

“This high level of support for marriage equality is key in building momentum in the lead up to the ALP National Conference in December”.

Earlier this month a Galaxy Research poll found that 74% of West Australians believe the reform will happen (details here)

Mr Ripper joins the majority of ALP State and Territory Leaders who support marriage equality, including NSW Labor Leader, John Robertson, Victorian Labor Leader, Daniel Andrews, Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh, Tasmanian Premier, Lara Giddings and ACT CHief Minister, Katy Gallagher.

Mr Ripper’s statements comes ahead a the WA State Labor conference were marriage equality is expected to be hotly debated.
