Currently MPs are being inundated with letters and meeting requests from people opposing marriage equality. The following three events are designed to inspire and skill supporters of equality to put forward their case for reform.
Marriage Equality in the Pub  – The Bank Hotel, Newtown

This forum will be a chance for all marriage equality supporters to hear from & ask questions of key campaigners, advocates and lobbyists about their experiences. Australian Marriage Equality will also be on hand to help you schedule meeting between participants and their Federal MP or Senators.

  • Shelley Argent, the National Spokesperson for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays(PFLAG)
  • Cate Faehrmann, a Greens MP, spokesperson for sexuality and gender identity issues in NSW and founding director of Get Up! She has a long career of environmental and social activism, having run media and election campaigns in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and New Zealand
  • Daniel Witthaus, Australia’s leading expert on challenging homophobia in schools
